Fibres West 2008

Fibres West 2008 is the 6th regional forum to be held in Western Australia under the auspices of the Australian Forum for Textile Arts Ltd (TAFTA). It is taking place from the 5th -11th of October in Bunbury. A fully residential program is offered over the 5 days providing participants with opportunities for learning and the exchange of ideas with other textile craftspeople.

The list of classes available and the standard of the tutors is incredible, tutors come from all over including India, USA and each state in Australia is represented. Yes, yours truly will be tutoring a class on the delights of weaving with texture. I am looking forward to it immensely. For more information check out the Fibres West web site and have a look at the Shirley Treasure link.   http://www.fibreswest.com.au

    Hi Shirley,

Thanks for blogging Fibres West. That link was our development and test area – which have now been removed. Things took a bit longer than expected and google picked up the pages quicker than we expected – noone was meant to see those! Anyway, the live site is now up – please adjust your links to http://www.fibreswest.com.au

    Cheers, Lisa
