To finish the baby blankets I sewed a satin border around the weaving which squared them off perfect. Super soft and warm for the three new borns they were woven for. Warm hugs & cuddles xoxox
Hi Dorothy,
The yarn I used for these 3 baby blankets was a textured knitting yarn called ‘Wild!’ by moda dea (made in Italy) sold in 50g balls and is 100% Nylon. I wove it loosely in tabby weave and is ideal for over a sheet. I used about 3 different colours (uni-sex colours) of this yarn to create the block panels on the blanket.
Thanks for your comment, and yes they do look very organic.
Cheers
Shirley

What a beautiful blanket, I love those colours. It reminds me of bottlebrush flowers. What kind of yarn did you use?
