This is a great way to use up the odds & sods in your stash. I love mixing different textures together and I find the ‘ladder’ novelty knitting yarn
weaves beautifully into little bubbles when packed into a warp.

Thanks girls,
Yep, mixing texture is heaps of fun. I did a course in texture weaves & I got all my class weaving with all sorts of stuff! The emu feathers are my fav and look amazing.

I love the idea of using some of my lumpy novelty yarns in the warp….my mind is running amok right now with plans to weave scarves. Thanks a lot!

Lynnette, you get the most amazing textural results when you combine the novelity yarn with a feather yarn or a silk strand or mohair, then also introduce the same or similar texture in the weft for a modern contemporary structure. Have fun playing around with it.
